In the matter of " The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876," And In the matter of a certain Election to the office of Councillor of the Borough of Napier, holden at Napier on the Bth day of September, 18S1, afc which John Thomas Renouf was declared to be duly elected to the said office. WHEREAS a declaration by a Candidate and two Electors has been filed in this Resident Magistrate's Court, under "The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876." AND WHEREAS the said declaration alleges that the said Election held on the Bth day of September, 1881, as aforesaid, was and is void on the ground that the said John Thomas Renouf was not capable of being elected to or of holdiDg the office to which he was declared to bo elected. NOW, therefore, I, Harry Eyre Kenny, the Resident Magistrate for the District of Napior and Waipukurau, do hereby give PUBLIC NOTICE that I will hold an inquiry into the matter alleged in the said declaration, in the Supreme Cotirt-room, in the Borough of Napier, on MONDAY, THE 26th DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1881, at eleven o'clock in the morning.
