i Slieep Dip . BY IROTAT, -^j3oS!lfߧ£e{jj^ T.HTTERS PATENT. nnHE "^TEW TJIP AND SCAB SPECIFIC. LITTLE'S CHEMICAL FLUID (xon-poisoxovs.) 1 GALLON WILL MAKE 100 GALLONS. (Double the strength of any other Nunpoisonous Dip.) This Dip is perfectly Fluid, and is t7ie only one which mixes instantly with cold Water, KEQuiiuxa no Dissor/rrxa. It is entirely free from any sediment whatever, and consequently all wha use it are sure of a uniform strength, which is not tlie case with any dip which settles to the bottom of tho cask or drum. Its great superiority over other preparations now in use consists in its cheapness, its good effect on the wool, which it renders | Soft and bright without interfering with the yolk, and its undoubted efilcacy in destroying all ticks, lice, and every insect that infests the skins of sheep or domestic ! animals. It is not only non-poisonous, but may be used internally for worm ia tho throat in lambs ; it will also effectually cure foot-rot, and as a specific for scab it has never been known to fail. To those who dip in full fleece, this fluid will be found invaluable, for, being of a warm and protecting character, sheep will not catch cold, though dipped in the depth ef winter. :One gallon of this concentrated fluid will make one hundred gallons of milk-white wash, at which strength it is guaranteed : to kill all lice ticks and eggs, as may be ■ ; seen from the testimonials we publish, one of which is from Mr Hood, the celebrated sheep-breeder in Victoria. Merrang, Hexham, April 8, IS^O. MESSBS. E. DOMBRAIir & SOXS, Dear Sir, — After my second trial of Little's Chemical Fluid, I have much pleasure in testifying, to its merits. It is most simple in preparation for use, kills all ticks and eggs at once at tlie strength you recommend (1 to 100), and (in this 1 consider it superior to any other dips I have used) leaves the wool with plenty of yolk and substance, while mast other preparations leave' it dry and harsh, requiring a long time to recover its condition. — Truly yours, ' ■ • • • EQBBRT HOOD. Mr Hood took 20 prizes at tho-last Show of the Australian Sheepbreeders' Association, held on the 2Stli August, 1879. All these sheep were dipped for ticks last season with Little's Chemical Fluid. Hobart Town, 11th August., 1879. To the Hon. James Whyte, Chief Inspector Sheep, Tasmania. Sib, — I have the honor to inform you that I have this day examined. Mr Geo. Poynter's Sheep (clipped for ticks last month in Little's Chemical Fluid) and that the ticks themselves and eggs are completely destroyed. The strength used was one gallon of the preparation to 100 gallons of water, and the time of soaking each sheep about one minute. I can confidently recommend this Fluid for destroying ticks, &c, after the examination I have made, on account of its strength and the small amount of time and trouble required in preparing the Dip. — I have the honor to be, Sir, your obedient servant, MALCOLM W. HARRISON, Inspector of Sheep for Hobart Town. In casks of from 35 to 40 galls, each ; sufficient to dip from 7000 to 8000 Sheep, and in 4 and 5-gallon Iron Drums. Stir well so as to ensure proper mixing. Special Directions for Curing Scab.— Mix the Composition in tho proportion of one gallon to forty gallons of warm water, break all hard scabs with the hands, and keep the Slieep about two minutes in the bath.
