FORESTERS' FETE.

Sir. — I preceive that the Foresters intend holding a fete on New Year's Day. Can you inform me and many of your readers why they did not join with the other societies in holding the fete on the Prince of Wales' Birthday ? I believe the Foresters sent a dictatory letter to tho other societies stating that unless the fete was held in Napier they would hot cooperate. Why did they not attend the general meeting when the question was to be discussed as to where the fete should be hold, and there state their reasons for holding it in Napier ? I think it a great pity that the Friendly Societies of this town^eannot all agree to meet together at least once a-ycar, and put petty jealousies on one side. — I am, &c, H.T.
