The members of the Napier Licensed Victuallers' Association appear to "be under the impression that a large amount of sly-grog selling exists in JSTapier. irresolution was passed at the meeting of the Association held on Monday evening, to the effect that steps be taken to obtain information as to who are the guilty parties, and on sufficient proof being obtained to take proceedings in the Resident Magistrate's Court. At a meeting of the members of the Loyal Blue Lodge, 1.0.0. F., MU., at which the District Officers were present, it was resolved that the Lodge should in future hold its meetings in the West Clive schoolroom, instead of at the Famdon Hotel as at present. An excellent concert was given in the Odd Fellows' Hall, Waipawa, on Monday evening, in aid of the funds of St. Peter's Church. The programmo was entirely supported by amateurs, who one and all acquitted themselves with credit, and they evidently succeeded in pleasing a large audience.
