Campbell, arrived hero yesterday morning from Wellington, via the Coast, at 6.30 a.m. She left Wellington at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday ; arrived at Castle Point at noon on Wednesday ; landed mails and passengers ; left again at 1 p.m., the sea being teo rough to land cargo, and arrived here as • above. Experienced westerly wind to Cape Palliser, and from thence till i arrival strong northerly Avind and very heavy sea. The 'Kiwi had a full general cargo, -which she could only partlylldischai-ge yesterday on account of tho rain ; the balance TiVillbe discharged to-day if fine. She leaves as soon as tho sea moderases sufficiently to enable her to pick \ip wool on the coast. The Union Company's s.s. Wanaka, Capt. M'Gillirray, arrived here yesterday morning at daybreak from Northern ports, after a very stormy "passage. The purser did not send ashore a report, so we are are unablo to give particulars. Slic left again at 9.30 a.m. The s.s. Southern Gross, Captain Hclander, was to leave Lyttelton for this port, via Wellington, at a late hour last night. The schooner Isabella Pratt, Captain. Cross, arrived at Oamaru on Wednesday night, from tin's ' port, after a smart run of 64 hours. . .
