Sir Charles is a beautiful bright bay, 4 years old, stands 17^ hands high, is strong, active, and good tempered, with great Hat bone, and splendid feet, and is a perfect model of the breed. This splendid animal Avas bred by J. D. Ormond, "Esq,, M.H.R., and is out of Lady by Prince Charlie, a horse that gained first honors every time he avus shown, and i,s acknowledged by breeders to be one af the best horses that ever crossed the line. More of his progeny have t urned out prize takers than that of any other horse ever in the colony' Lady is by Lord Eglington (imported) out of an imported mare. Sir Charles has been shown four times, and each time carried off first prize ; he has also proved himself a sure foal-getter, not having missed once hist season. Teums : £5 for single mares ; tAvo or more the property of tho same owner, £4. Groom fees, ss. All mares must be paid for and removed by Ist January. Honest Tom is now rising five years old, standing 1G hands lin., by Little John out of Young Diamond, one of tho largest prizetukers in Tasmania, Auckland, and Hawke's Bay, and never was beaten. Young Diamond out of Old Diamond, pure Clydesdale mare, by the celebrated Clydesdale Entire Iron Duke. Iron Duke and Old Diamond both imported to Tasmania by Duncan Campbell, Esq., and as prize-takers were never beaten. Vide NeAv Zealand Stud Book. For symmetry and muscular development they are unequalled. Young Diamond, four years old, Avas imported to Auckland by G. P Donnelly, Esq., carrying a foal to one of the best horses in Tasmania ; said foal has been also a large prize taker in Auckland, and never avus beaten. Young Diamond Avas sold at tho Mennce about seven years ago by public auction for the sum of 155 guineas to the late E. A. Carlyon, Esq., from Avhoin Mr George Merritt purchased Honest Tom avlioii nine months old, Young Diamond, the dam, dying when he Avas only two Aveek3 old, he being therefore brought up by hand. Honest Tom has been serving marcs for the last tAvo seasons, and is a siu'e foal getter, having run and served 53 mares last season, all of Avhich proved in foal to him. He is considered to be one of the grandest and most compact horses in New Zealand. He is a dark bay with four Avhite points, standing on four short Avell set legs, bone in proportion. He has magnificent loin and barrell, being well ribbed up, and in all points a perfect model of symmetry. Honest Tom Avhen two years old took -the first prize at the Hawke's Bay Agricultural Show.
