The s.s. Mohaka, Captain Dowcll, returned from Mohaka yesterday with a -part cargo of wool. She reports heavy southerly sea running in the Bay. The s.s. . Southern Cross is expected to arrive from Auckland and Poverty Bay to-day, though, with the southerly wind blowing yesterday, she may have had to take shelter at the East Cape, If .she arrives she will leave for Wellington at 2 p.m.
