Tuesday, October 28. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. NOTICES OF MOTION. Sir F. D. Bell gave notice that, he would bring under the consideration of the Council the matter x>f the. Agent- s General endeavoring to become a membjfe - of the House of Commons. - Mr Whitaker gave notice that lie, would introduce a bill to amend the Prisons Act, there being some doubt of the legality of confining the Maori prisoners where they are at present. MR KINROSS's CASE. A question of breach of privilege respecting Mr Kinroas's case was brought up, but after some 'discussion the matter • was. postponed, Mr Whitaker promising to examine into the law upon the subject.-*-The Council adjourned at 3.30 p.m.
