Wlieat remains about the same, 4s 9d to 4s lOd ; oats are unaltered, and- the market for this article shows little chance of improvement, holders being glad to effect sales when the opportunity offers ;' feed, 2s 2d to 2s 4d ; milling, 2s- 6d:; barley, no business to note ; potatoes; £3 15sto £4 ; flour, fair busineds reported at late values, viz, £12 to £13 ; rye grass seed is quoted nominally at 4s to 4s (3d, but without the slightest life ; butter is now coming in freely and prices have receded, it is quoted ,afc BJd to 9d ,- hams and bacon, 9£d" to- lOd. ' The cattle market has a downward tendency in all descriptions, 2d per lb is quoted' for fat sheep 5 beef, 28s per 1001 b for good, and 26s for second quality.
