Calcutta, October 18. Martial law has been proclaimed at Cabul. An impressive entry into Cabul was made by the British forces. General Roberts issued a proclamation . stating that the city would, be spared, but heavy fines would be imposed upon the inhabit tants ; ; a generaLdisarmament of the city and suburbs would take place, and prompt measures would be taken for the capture of the mutineers. October 19. The Ameer Yakoob Khan has resolved to abdicate. General Roberts has made provisonal arrangements for the administration of the Government. The Kuram tribes are in a great state of commotion.
