SCHEDULE. Star™ at the Waikopiro Stream, at the wGsternOioundary of the Waipukurau Distrioty follows down the Waikopiro Stream to the western boundary of Block No. LXLX. . Porangahau District ; following along that boundary to the southern boundary of Block No. CXX., Ruataniwha District; along the southern and western boundaries of that block, and the southern and western boundaries of Block No. CCXXXIV., to the Makaretu Kiver ; thenco up that river to the eastern boundary of the Makaretu Reserve, and along the eastern boundary of that reserve to the Tukipo River ; thence down that river to its junction with the Maharakeke Stream, at the -western boundary of the Waipukurau I>i3tricfc ; and along the western boundary of that district to the starting point at the Waikopiro Stream. WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council ef Hawke's Bay intituled "The Highway b Act, 1871," it is, amongatother things, enacted that the Superintendent might, from time to time, on ths requisition of five voters, by notification in the Provincial Government Gazette, bring that Aot into operation in any district, and thereupon, but not previously, that Act Bhould come into aud remain in full operation therein ; and in such notification the day, hour, and place of meeting for the firei meeting ef ratepayers for such district should be appointed : And whereas, under the provisions of the said Act, a portion of the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay has been created a highway district by tho name of the Waipukurau Highway District : And wheroaa the powers vested in the Superintendent by the said Act are now, by "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875," vested ia the Governor ; And whereas His Kxcellency the Governor has received a requisition signed by five voters of the Waipukurau District, in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, requesting; him to bring the said .Act into operation in the Baid Waipukurau District; : Now, therefore, I, Herculea George Robert RobhißOii, the Governor of -the Colony of I New Zealaud, in pursuance and exercise of I every power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do, by this notification, bring " The Highways Act, 1571," into operation within the Waipukurau Highway District, and do declare that the tirav meeting of ratepayers under the said Act shall be held at the Waipukurau Town Hall, ou the twenty-third day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ' seventy-nine, at two o'clock p.m. As witness the hand of His Excelloncy the Governor, this fifth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine. 58G Q.
