ST. MARY'S BOARDING AND DAY SCHOOL, MEANEE. THE additions to this Boarding Establishment being now completed, increased accommodation is provided for a number of Boarders. The bed-rooms are apacious and well ventilated. The school-room, which measures 46 feet by 24 feet, is ventilated on Tobin s principle, and has an ample svipply of maps, charts, and scientific diagrams. Attached to the School is a large playground, about one acre in extent. The Institution is- under the control and supervision of the Rev. Father Reigner, who has spared no expense in providing for the health and comfott of the boarders. The Catholic boys receive religious instruction three times per weekin the church from the resident priest, but in no case is the faith of non-Catholic boarders interfered with. The subjects taught comprise English Grammar and Composition, History, Bookkeeping, Arithmetic, Algebra, GeometTy — including Practical Geometry and Mensuration. Navigation and Latin taught if required. The terms, which are moderate, can be learned on application to the Rev. Father Reignier or B. HAMILL, 51 Head Teacher. DR. THOMAS, (Formerly of Collins & Lonsdale-street, Melbourne), MAY be consulted at his Medical Establishment, "The Octagon," Dunedin, Otago, next to the Working Men's Club. Dr. Thomas' practice has been exclusively devoted for the last twenty-six yeara to the treatment of Diseases of the Nervous and Generative System, Heart, Lungs, liver, and Kidneys, Skin and Contagious Diseases. The following examinations have been passed by Dr. Thomas : — Licentiate Royal College of Physicians, London, 1864 : Mem' her of tho Royal College of Surgeons, Lon« don, 1859 ; Doctor of Medicine, University of Gressen, Germany, 1871; Lioentiate in Midwifery, College of Surgeons, London 1864. Patients residing in the neighboring colonies can consult Pr Thomas by letter. These consultations will meet with his immediate and careful attention, and will be replied to by return Bteamer, coach, or rail. Cases of medicines forwarded to all parts of New Zealand, secured from observation.
