Wilson, of Korokipo, has in his usual liberal style handed over to the Sooiety One Pound Barrett's Twist Tobacco, to be given for the worat ploughed ridge. Persons using the Three-wheel Plough have the choice of entering in the Champion Class or Class A. , Entries Close at 9 a.m. on tbe morning of the Match. HILL, 956 Inspector. __ * REASONS WHY COLONISTS SHOULD ASSURE IN THE NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT LIFE ASSURANCE OFFICE. Payment op Policies is guaranteed by the Colony. Premiums are all retained in the Colony. Premiums are lower than the participating Rates of Private Companies to an extent equal to a Bonus Advance of from 15 to 20 per cent. Profits are by law to be divided among the Policy-holders every five years. First division, takes place in 1880. No Policy or Medical fees are charged. Residence and Occupation. — Policyholders may without extra payment or license travel or reside in any party of the world, except within 25 degrees of the Equator, or may change their occupation. Policies Non-forfeitable after three years. Policies on which premiums are not paid are protected so long as the surrender value will cover premium and interest, and should death take place within this currency the full amount of the assurance, less arrears and interest, will be paid to the heirs. Age. — If age has been proved policies after pive years are indisputable and unchallengeable. Loans on Policies. — Policy-holders oan borrow on the security of their policies to the extent of 90 per cent, of the surrender value at 7 per cent, per annum, with the right to pay off at any time. Absolute Security prom Loss.— lf after three years a policy-holder should from any cause be unable to continue his payments, and gives notice of such, he will be granted a Paid-up Policy for an amount generally greater than the premiums paid. If settlers wishing to assure, and who cannot conveniently call at the office, will kindly send to the undersigned their addresses an agent will wait on them. Tables of Rates and all information may be obtained at any Money Order Post-office in the Colony, or from J. GRUBB, 991 Agent, Chief Post-office, Napier.
