' ' . . The rTJnion Co.'s s.s. Rotorua, Captain Carey, is due here early this morning from Northern .ports, and , leaves again at 11 aim. for.th'eJJSquth. , Her cargo will^be landed by the' Three" Brothers if the weather moderates. We ,. (Australian Shipping News) under-, stand that the s.s. Rotomabana, the newest' addition to,, the Union Steam Shipping Company's fineileetof steamers, comes out to thp colonies under the flag of the Colonial Line, and is to leave London on August stlij taking targo. She was the other steamer of that line for Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney afterwards crossing . over to New Zealand. The Union Company will make the following changes in the officers of their fleet :— Captain Carey, of the Eotorua, will go home to bring out the Te Anau ; Captain Tozer, of the Albion, will take charge of the Rotorua' ; Mr G-unard, at present chief officer of the Ringaromma, will have the command of the Albion "j Mr Irvine, chief officer of the Ladybird, will take 1 command of the Claud Hamilton, Mr M'Gie, lately commanding the Wellington^ has gone as chief officer of the Ringaromma, to gain experience with Melbournetrade y Captain Carey will go home by the steamer which leaves Melbourne on the 12th. July. The Te Anau is expected to leave London on October 10.
