I Mr. E. Eeeves, M.H.E., addressed the 1 electors at Keefton, on Saturday evening-, the hall was crowded. Mr. Reeves expressed himself in favor of a further loan - for the completion of the railway system in large but thinly populated countieß being taken over by the General Government or the counties subsidised by a mileage rate. He also expressed his intention to bring in or support a bill for the restriction of Chinese imniigi'ation. He ' Concluded by strongly supporting the Native policy of the present Ministry and the Land Tax Bill. A unanimous vote of confidence was passed.
