Entrance, £2 NAPIER HANDICAP— Of 160 soys, with a sweepstakes of 5 soys each added, second horse to receive 20 soys from the stakes. Distance If miles. Nomination 2 soys, acceptances 3 boys, to go to the funds Nominations addressed to the Secretary, enolosing 2 boys. to be left at the Criterion Hotel by 8 p.m. on Saturday, the 2 1st December. Weights will be declared on Saturday, 11th of January, ; acceptances, with 3 boys, on or before Saturday, Ist February. Sweep on night of general entry. The winner of any handicap of the value of 300 soys after declaration of the weightß to carry lOlbs extra, of the value of 200 soys 71bs extra, of the value of lOO]sovs Dibs extra. PROVINCIAL PRODUCE STAKES— Of 60 soys, with a sweepstakes of 3 boys each for starters added, for all horses bred in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay that have never won an advertised race exceeding £25 in value at time of entry. Winner of any such race after entry to carry 71bs penalty. Weight for age. Distance 1 mile. Entrance, £3. TRADESMAN'S HANDIOAP—of 100 soys, with a sweepstaices of 5 boys each for acceptors added. Distance l^mile. Entrance 2 soys, and acceptance 3 soys, to go to the funds. Weights will appear on evening of first day's races. Acceptance, with sweep, to be paid before 'the start for the Hurdle Race. SELLING- RACE— Of 30 boys. Distance H miles. Entrance, £2. Weight for age. Winner to be sold for £50. If entered to be sold for £40, allowed 71bs ; if for £30, avowed 141bs ; if for £20, allowed 2Ubs; if for £10, allowed 281bs ; any surplus to go to the funds. The rules and weights of the Canterbury Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will bo deducted from the gross amount of all stakes.
