ANNUAL ORDINARY ELECTION Of COUNCILLOES FOR THE BOROUGH OF NAPIER. WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," an Election will be held on Thursday, the 12th Day of September, 1878, of Three Councillors, to fill the vacancies which will occur on that day, bytheeffluxion of their term of office of the undermentioned gentlemen, Councillors, for the time being, of the Borough of Napier :— HENRY WILLIAMS, GEORGE FAULKNOR, and JOHN DINWIDDIE. I, the undersigned, hereby give notice that I have appointed Wednesday, the Fourth day of September, 1878, as the day, and the Office of the Town Clerk, Napier, as the place for the Nomination of Candidates ; and that any persons desirous of Nominating a Candidate must, before Noon of the Baid fourth day of September, cause to be addressed to me, and delivered at the said Office of the Town C'rrk, a Nomination paper in the prescribed form, stating the Christian Name and Surname of such Candidate ; and each such Nomination paper mustr be signed, by two Electors of the Borough, duly qualified to vote at such Election, and also by the Candidate himself in token of his assent to such Nomination.
