The Otago Daily Times, our Dunedin correspondent informs us, has changed hands for £27,000. This does not seem a large sum for a newspaper of the kind. If economically and efficiently managed it ought to nett £10,000 per annum. It sounds significant to hear of a newspaper being purchased to be conducted on behalf of the large landholding interest. It makes us feel that the contest Avhich has raged of late so A'igorously in Victoria between the small and large holders is coming very close to us here.
