HPHE following is an extract from "Le A Figaro," under the heading "L'lndustrie Fr..ngaise a, Pbiladelphie:" — "Passing on to Brandies, we find the name of Boutelleau and Co., of Barbezieux. This important house, founded in 1840, by a society with a capital of two millions, is known in the United States under tho name of Vineyard Proprietors Company, and in ether countries under that of Champagne Vineyard Proprietors Company. Boutelleau and Co., the clever administrators of this Society, established it with the idea of encouraging the sale of the country's produce, which forms a considerable figure in the business with the United states, England, India, and Aust alia, nor is it less astonishing that this brand passed immediately in the firat line after Martell and Hennessy. The propiiotors of this brand in France are certain persons having a fine produce of a superior qnality. To foreigners, and especially in the English colonies, where they make ÜBe of Brandy as a medicinal remedy, this brand is particularly recommended by doctors.
