MELBOURNE STATION PRODUCE REPORT.
J. H. Clough & Co.'.s Report. Melbourne, May 2, 1877. Wool. —We have still to report but little doing here. We have received into store a few lots of greasy and hand-washed descriptions, which will be offered shortly by auction. In the meantime we are selling the usual odd lots at our skin sales, all of which fetch satisfactory prices. Sheepskins. —Our usual sales of the week have been well attended, and we have disposed of a full supply of both green and dry skins at full rates viz : —Green skins, 2s to 5s ; dry skins, Is 6d to 3s Gil each ; and station skins, 3A-d to 7d per lb. Hides. —-We have to report a firm market at advanced prices. We have sold an average supply during the week as follows, viz : — Green Ox, 22s to 30s ; cow, 15s to 20s each ; Victorian salted, 4d to 4id ; New Zealand, 5d to s£d; and calfskins, 5d to sgd per lb. Tallow. —We have also to note an advance in prices in this article since our last. Our sales have been as follows, viz. —for
inferior, £27 to £30 ; mixed, £32 to £35 ; beef, £32 to £34 ; and mutton, £36 10s to £37 10s per ton.
