[2] Lobd of the Manor (26714) was by Baron Ribblesdale (21238), by Second Duke of Wharfdale (19649), a Duchess and Oxford Bull ; his dam by Duke of Gloucester (11382), of same family as three animals sold by auction for nearly £20,000. The dam of Lord of the Manor was late Colonel Townley's celebrated Cow Emma, winner of ten prizes. [3] Eoxal Btjttebfly 14th (20722) by Boyal Butterfly (16862), winner of Royal Agriculture of England Society's First Prize at Warwick, and seven •ther Prizes at Durham, York, and other shows ; his dam won twenty Prizes and twelve Gold and Silver Medals at various meetings of the Royal English, Irish, North Lanca- ' shire, Yorkshire, and other Societies. Royal Butterfly was own brother to Master Butterfly, who won First Prize of Royal Agricultural Society of England's Show at Chelmsford, and many other prizes, and never was beaten ; and was sold at a bigh price and sent to j Melbourne, shipped by us per " Copenhagen" in 1857.
