Arrival of the Three Brothers.

The schooner Three Brothers, JRoss, returned to port from Wangaehu at 1 p.m. on Saturday hist, arriving with the ensign half-mast, she being bearer of the sad inteligence of the awfully sudden death at Waugaehu, on Thursday last, Sth instant, of Mr. John Charles, landlord of the Commercial Hotel, Port Ahuriri. The Three Brothers loft Napier early on the morning of Sunday, 4th instant, Mr, Charles being a passenger. Strong S.W. wind was experienced on that day. Arrived at Waimarama the same day, but, owing to the heavy sea running, was unable to land store.", &c, until Monday morning, aud left for Wangnehu immediately afterwards. Arrived at that place at 10 o'clock the same night ; but, a strong increasing breeze from N. by E. springing up, had to put to sea, and was hove-to all day on Tuesday. The wind moderating the next morning, stood in for the land, and arrived off Wangaehu ou Wednesday night. The next day (Thursday), commenced to take wool on board, Mr. Charles going ashore early in the morning. At 4 p.m., finished loading, and went ashore to take Mr, Charles off, but, found that he had suddenly expired a few minutes before the boat reached the beach. The schooner loft for Napier the fcurno night, and arrived hero as above, having experienced light wind, with very heavy N.E. sea on the passage.
