Late Auckland Shipping .
LFrom the Southern Cross, Dec. o.] By the arrival of tho schooner Agnes, from Mercury Bay yesterday, we learn that the three masted aohooner Ocean Wave, Captain, J. Galbraith, whilst coming out of Mercury Bay on Saturday afternoon last, with a oargo of timber for Napier, ran on a Bunkea rook about five miles from tho en trance to the i
harbor, and filled. She, however, floated "off again, and Captain Galbraith was enabled to get her back again into Mercury Harbor, though waterlogged. Ail the perishable cargo has, we are glad to learn, been transshipped to the Agnes and sent up to Auckland. Tho schooner will be brought on to this port, when the extent of damage done will be ascertained and repaired. It will be remembered that the Ocean Wave arrived hero from Wellington recently with the Auokland portion of the cargo of the barque Firth of the Clyde, from Glasgow. After discharging it she left on tho 24th ultimo for Mercury Bay, and from there was to proceed to Napier, thence on to the Chatham Islands, and back to Auckland with cattle. The trial trip of the b.s. Napier will, we believe, take place on Thursday next, the Sth inst. The fchooner Flirt cleared at the Customs yesterday, and will sail to-day for Napier, via Mercury Bay, with the following cargo : — 45 tons firewood, 120,000 shingles, 80,000 feet timber.. The ship Aboukir clears at the Customs for London on Thursday next, and sails on Saturday, the 10th inst. The fine ship Countess of Kintoro is fast loading for London, and the greater portion of her cargo being already engaged, she will no doubt get away on her announced day of sailing, the 4th January. Several of her cabins havo also already been taken by intending passengers Tho ship Timaru, from London, and tbe barque Santiago, from Liverpool, are both due, being now over 100 days at eea. The Fiji trade with this port still maintains a considerable amount of briskness, with every appearance of its still further increasing.
The Wonga Wonga arrived from Sydney on the Gth. and sailed on the 7th, with the American and European mails. H.M.S. Galatea was expected to arrive on the 7th.
