WHO IS TO BLAME?
Sm,—Can you inform my fellow tradesmen and self why it is that our goods (duty paid and free) are detained so long at the Spit after the arrival of the steamer, I had some packages in the Wellington, which vessel arrived in our roadstead on Saturday; morning lasfc; I have been informed that I may not obtain them even to-morrow, although in the lighters, which J roves a detention of three or more days. s there any blame to be awarded to the Customs.—X am, &c, A SIJFFEEEE.
