A T a Meeting held on the 25th January jJ^SL it was resolved that a Musical Society should be formed. The following officers were appointed : — Members of Committee — Dr. Hitchings, Messrs. Lyndon, G. Thomas, Wood, and Wilkinson. Instrumental Conductor — Mr. Macfarlane. Vocal Instructor — Mr. Carver. Librarian — Mr. E. Withers. Musical Amateurs desirous of joining the J ►Society are requested to communicate with the Secretary, or a member of the Com' mittee. The Society is to consist of performing members and honorary members. Honorary members may join the Society on payment of one guinea per annum, and are entitled to be admitted to all tho concerts of the season, but are to have no voice in the management of the Society.
