DEPARTUBES.—Jan. 15, H.M.S. Challenger, Commodore Lambert, for Wellington ; H.M.S. Blanch, Captain Montgomery, for Tauranga; H.M.S. Virago, Captain Murray, for Napier ; Countess of Kintore, ship, for London, with full cargo and passengers. Among the passengers by this fine vessel are Mr. and Mrs. Goodwin and family, late of Waipukurau, in this province. Chile, ship, for Napier ; Tawera, sohooner, Kennedy, for the Coast ; Peri, schooner, Nolan, for Norfolk Island. A very fine new steamer was launched from the yards of Messrs. Uichol and Son, North Shore, on the afternoon of Saturday last. She is a paddle boat, and is intended for the trade between shortland (Thames) and Coromandel. Her owners are Messrs. Holmes Brothers. The 8.8, Airedale was due in the Manaka
last Satin-day night, from Sydney, where she has been lo be cleaned aud receive a thorough overhaul. The barque Alioe Cameron, now duo from Sydney, will sail from the Bay of Islands, for New Bedford, with oil, on February 12th. There are no arrivals of importance.
