Consolation Handicap. — 1 mile and a distance. 20 soys. Entrance 2 soys. RULES. The Hawke's Bay Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adhered to. For weights for age, see published Rules. The first race to start on each day at one o'clock precisely. Tho bell will be rung quarter of an hour before each race. Three horses to start in each race, or only half the public money will be given. Second horse to save his stake in each race when public money is given, except the Consolation. It was further resolved that the undermentioned gentlemen be appointed a Provisional Committee to receive the names of intending subscribers : — Messrs. Blake, ■ Boylan, Gowing, Lyndon, Miller, Robinson, and H. Williams. Shares, £2Q.each; Subscriptions, 2s. per week, payable^fortnightly ; Entrance Fee, 2s. 6d, per share.
