. THE Circular Saw S.N . Co.'s s.s. Lord Ashley, Worsp, arrived at the anohorage at 4*30 p.m. [ on Friday. The Lord Ashley left Wellington at s*lo p.m. on Thursday, and rounded Cape ! Palliser at Bio p.m. ; was off Castle Point at 7 a.m. on Friday ; rounded the Kidnappers at 3.18 p.m., and arrived as above, having had light N.W. winds on the passage. The Lord Ashley steamed for Auckland with original cargo from South, and 252 sheep and several . passengers from this port. The N.Z.S.N. Co.'s s.s. Wellington arrived at the anchorage at 6 a.m. on Sunday. The Wellington left Auokland on Friday, July 30, p at 4r*3o p.m. ; passed East Cape at 2 p.m. on . Saturday, 31st, and arrived as ahove, having had fine weather all the passage. Captain Holmes reports having sighted the Star of ' the South off Oape Colville, on Friday at 8 p.m., and the Lord Ashley, off. East Cape, on Saturday. The Wellington steamed for Welt lington at 1 p.m. yesterday.
The cutter Mahia left for iWairba yesterday morning. V V" The N.Z.S.N. Co.'s s.S. Rangatira is expected from Wellington on Thursday, she Will leave for Anokland on Friday.
