Lieut.-Colonel Heebicz (says the Wwiiganui Herald) has given up his. appointment of Brigade-Major, and left hero on Tuesday evening for Wellington, en route to Napier. , Major Davis is at present Brigade-Major. Col. Herriok, by his suavity of manner, and straightforwardness of character, has earned the good opinion, of every mau in the force, and his departure, on private business, is greatly regretted. — Evening Post, March 17.
