DEATHS.

LILLICRAP.—At Southland, on the 4th October, Welsford Loiißfleld, twin son of Herbert V. Lilli«rap, Esq., late Captain Ist Battalion Bth (the King's) ItegC, aged three months. LILLICRAP.— On the 16th August, at the Recruiting Station, Leatherhead, Surrey, Major Walter Welsford Lillicrap, H.M. Royal Marines (Light Infantry), eldest son of the late James Lillicrap, Esq., Vice-Admiral of the Fleet, R.N., Superintendent of the Ordinary at Portsmouth. Major Lilliorap served throughout the China War of 1840, with the Royal Marine Battalion; at the storming of Sidon, and also at D'Jouui, on the coast of Spain (mentioned in despatches). He receijyed the War Medal and clasp, s and Turkish Medal. He had been on lull pay 35 years, having entered the service in November, 1833.
