By Donald M'Lean, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand. WHEREAS, by an Act of the Provincial Council of Hawke's Bay, Session 13, No. 0, intituled the "Educational Eates Act 18G8," it is enacted that certain rates shall bo collected for purposes of Education, and that the Superintendent shall appoint proper persons to collect such rates, and that the rate Bhall become payable within one month after the Governor's assent to this Act shall have been published in the Provincial Government Gazette,, and that the Superintendent shall, in each year, by proclamation announco the clay on which the rate is payable, and the name of the collector appointed for its collection. Now, therefore, I, Donald M'Lean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, do hereby proclaim and notify that I have appointed THOMAS SCULLY as collector of the said rate ; and further, I announce that
