ON the 27th June, 1866, Motebwallah, a Printer, was convicted at the Supreme Court, Calcutta, of counterfeiting the LABELS of Messrs. Ceosse & Blackweli, London, and was sentenced by Mr. Justice Phear to Two Tears Rigorous Imprisonment;^ And on the 80th of the same month, for SELLING SPURIOUS ARTICLES bearinß Labels in imitation of Messrs. Orosse and Blackwell's, Shaik Bachoo was sentenced, by the Suburban Magistrate at Soaldah, to Two Years Rigorous Imprisonment. Caution.— -Any one selling SPURIOUS OILMEN'S STORES, under Crosse and Blackwell's name, will- be liable to the same punishment, and will be vigorously prosecuted, Purchasers are recommended to examine all goods carefully before taking delivery of them.
