AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. Messrs. Hunter & Co. report under date July 24 :—At Newmarket, on Monday, there was a full market of cattle. Dairy cowa, in oonsequence of the large nnmber in, did not sell as well as usual ; best cowb, near calving sold from £10 to £15 eaoh. Store stock were plentiful, and sold well ; 2-year-old steers, from £5 15s. to £6 12s. 6d. ; lj-year-old steers, from £4 15s. to £5 55. ; 3-year-old steers, from £7 10s. to £9 2s. 6d. ; yearlings, from £8 7s, to £4 eaoh. There was a good ] number of fat cattle, which sold from 355. to 40s. per 1001 b ; a few choice fat cattle from Whangarei sold from £\5 15s. to £19 17s. 6d each. Sheep were in full supply, but did not sell as well as usual ; half-breds, from 18s. to 235. 6d. eaoh ; merino wethers, from 11s. 9d. to 15s. 9d. each. There was a full market of pigs, whioh sold at good prices.
