TO SUBSCRIBERS. IN order to meet the he'av'jr eSpeilseEJ attendant on the opening of telegraphic communication with Wellington and other parts of the colony, the subscription to the Herald will, from the commencement of the current quarter, be raised from 255. to 355. per annum. The increased rate will, as regards country subscribers, include all charge for postage or carnage ; so that, in their case, the extra charge is nominal. Town subscribers will have the advantage of at least two exti'as each month, to be delivered within a short time of the" receipt of tile telegrams of neWs via, Suez and Panama respectively. Each number of the Herald will contain telegraphic intelligence up to the latest hour on the evening prior to publication. No pains will be spared, to supply the latest and most valuable information; but this cannot be accomplished without heavy cost, and the proprietor trusts that subscribers will not object to meet him to the extent above indicated, towards defraying tho same.
