AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET.

[Reports for the week ending May 29.] ME. BUOKXAND'S REPOBT. On Saturday last, consequent on the wet weather, hay sold at lower rates than previous week. Inferior horse stock were scarcely saleable; but well conditioned sound animals, either for riding or draught met with a steady demand. ' At Mr. Bainbridge's, on Wednesday, there was a very numerous attendance, and good competition throughout the sale. Prices for cattle and horse slock were m advance of usual markets. Potatoes brought from 645. to 80s. per ton. to be removed from the farm. Hay, 41s. per ton at the stack. At Remuera on Thursday, not many store cattle were brought forward. Dairy cows, at their profit were m request. Best animals brought £15 each Young stock sold at full rates. Well-bred yearlings heifers, were in gopd enquiry. Fat cattle were dull of sale, but prices improved as the auction advanced, and the rates at last obtained varied very little from last week's market; 68 head wore sold to the butcher. Sheep were plentiful; merino wethers, ex Ahuriri troin Napier, averaged 14s. 6d.; half-bred sheep! from Wanganui, 235.; a mixed flock of long-woolled ewes and wethers, from the Bay of Islands, 17s. 6d • inferior store merino wethevs, Us. 6d. each. Pks of small size, and in condition for the butcher, were in good request at full prices. WILMAM HUNTER AND CO.'S BEPORT. On Saturday last horses were in full supply, nearly all m were sold.
