Mary Edson, barque, for London, early Ahuriri, s.s.. for Auckland, 20th April Betsy, cutter, for Auckland via Poverty Bay, April 15

The cutter Betsy, Trimmer, left Poverty Bay on Saturday -Ith insfc., at noon, bound for Tologa bay, where she arrived on Sunday, landing 70 bags grass seed. Left same afternoon lor Awanui, arriving on Monday morning; took in 10 tons potatoes aud started for Poverty Bny on Tuesday, arriving there on Thursday 2nd inst. Left for this Port same afternoon with a fair wind, arriving in the Pot on Saturday last at 5 p.m. She brings a full cargo of timber and produce. The cutter Mahia left this Port on the 24th ult., and arrived off Cape Turnagain on 25th, at 7 p.m., where she discharged cargo. Loft at C p.m. on 26th for Wellington, with light N.E. wind, which carried her to Wellington harbour where she anchored on the 28th at 11 a.m. On the 6th Inst., at 5 p.m., took her departure for this port with N.B. wind, which lasted until off Cape Turnagain on Bth, when the wind shifted to N.N.W. accon'ipanied by heavy sea, causing the vessel to roll so heavily as to cause the mast to go by the board. During that day and the next was unable to repair damages but on Saturday set a doublu reefed mainsail and proceeded on her voyage (the vessel then having drifted about 70 miles oue to sea.) Same day worked up to the Kidnappers, which was rounded at 8 p.m., and the cutter came to an anchor in. the roadstead at 4 a.m. on Sunday last. The s.s.. Lord Ashley left Auckland at 1030 a.m. on Saturday last, with light northerly winds and I fine weather, which carried her to this port, where she arrived at 4 a.m. yesterday morning. She left;

for Wellington and Southern Ports the same day at 4 p.m. The s.s. Wellington took her departure from Auckland on Saturday at 5 p.m., with fine weather, a r r o^ lg aj Tau ™ n sa next day at 4 p.m. Left again at 8-30 p.m., and came to an anchor in the roadstead at 11 45 a.m. yesterday. She took her departure the same afternoon at 6 for Wellington and Southern ports, carrying the English mail via Suez. lhe schooner Swallow sailed for Lyttelton on Saturday afternoon last, with 49 bales wool. The schooner Saucy Lass sailed for Auckland via the Bay of Plenty, on Saturday last, in ballast. The schooner Elizabeth and Ulvaria Cameron, > en s- e^. c 23rd Marc « with a cargo of wool, arrived at Wellington on the 31st. The p.s. Cleopatra, which steamed for Wellington pn the morning of the Ist April, had not reached that port up co the time of the Mahia leaving, borne little uneasiness is felt in consequence. ketch Blackball, hence the 31st ult., arrived at Wellington on the 6th inst. « T1 1? Storm Bird has been taken up by the Government to convey, etores to the Chatham Islands. The ship Ironsides had arrived in London after a long passage of 117 days from Auckland. A cutter called the Thistle, with 22 passengers on board, went ashore near Waugarei in a dark stormy night. Two lives were lost, one that of ayoung girl, and the other passengers saved their lives with difficulty.
