SWITZERLAND.
A Congress of the leading Democrats of Europe met in Geneva on the 9th inst. Victor Hugo, Louis Blanc, Jules Favre, and Garibaldi were present. The. object of the Congress is to make a demonstration in favor of the preservation of peace. Garibaldi met with a post enthusiastic reception from the citizens of Geneva, and made a brief speech, in which he declared that his purpose to move on Home was unalterable, and that the plan of action, though deferred, would soon be carried into effect.
