The Strathallan got under weigh on the night of Monday last, at 4 to 9 p.m.. with a light south west breeze. At 10 p.m., the pilot left her off the Bluff. The Wellington is due this day, with the English mail. The s.s. Star of the Evening, has been expected to arrive from Auckland, but was not signalled last evening. The s.s. Star of the South, Capt. Bendall, steamed for Aucklaud at 8 a.m., on Thursday last, with a cargo of sheep and cattle. The cutter Tay aud ketch Hero will both leave for Wairoa to-day, should the weather permit. The latter will call in at Arapawanui and other places on the coast, and takes down a quantity of flour for the great feast which is to come off at Wairoa shortly, The ketch Taraipene, Lewis, master, loft Wairoa on Wednesday last, and arrived horo the same day, having experienced a fine sea breeze down. The cutter Bittern, J. Trimmer, master, left for Poverty J3ay on Thursday afternoon last. The cutter Dolphin may be daily expected from Wairoa, as also the cutter Agnes, from Poverty Bay.
