negrohead tobacco, of low quality, brought Is 4d per lb in bond, being good value ; shingles (6d,000) realised 14s per 1000 ; and palings, 12s to 13s Gd per 100 for 6 and 6 feet ; salad oil (pints), 8s 6d per dozen, and 60 cases pioneer kerosene oil, at 4s to 4s 3d per gallon. The attendance was small. Business generally is exceedingly dull, owing to the scaroity of money. The banks either have not the means at their disposal or the agents here have received instructions to reduce their discounts, We hear constant complaints by customers of both establishments. The Strathallan has now about 1700 ■-- bales of wool on board, and is expected to leave not later than 16th instant.
