Beware of Coiintejfeits. «# HOLLOW AY'S PILLS AND OINTMENT Copy of a Letter received from Messrs. Gobdon and Goxoh, dated, Melbourne, July 25, 1864. " Deab Sir,— "We have found out that there has been a considerable trade doing in COUNTERFEITING YOUR PILLS. That a man (whose name we know), made for a certain person a machine, rolling out One Hundred and Fifty Pills at once. That labels were printed and despatched up the country in great numbers, by one Boul ton ( we are informed) . He failed about thrajgireeks ago, and the Machine was offered to a friend ofwSrs for sale, which we suspect is at work somewhere. What can we do for you in this matter P Something should be donp at once. If we were sure you would approve of it, we would set the Detectives at work, and soon ferret j,the nest out,— We are, &c, agjft '(Signed) GOBDON & GOTOH." In many places abroad, the Government stamp to the Medicines has lately been forged, and affixed to an immense quantity of spurious Ointment and Pills, and sold to the Hublic as my preparations. Please to observe, therefore, that the words— "Molloway's Pills and Ointment London," besides being on the Government Label, fas heretofore, are woven in the water-mark of every leaf of the Pamphlets, without which the Medicine is not genuine. Also, be careful to observe that the address on the covers of the Pots, and the labels of the Boxes, is "244, Strand, London," and that there is no initial before the name " HOLLOWAY." Parties who may be defrauded by Vendors selling spurious " Holloway's Pills and Ointment," are invited to communicate the particulars to me or to Messrs. Gordon & Gotch, of Collins-street, Melbourne, when legal proceedings will be immediately instituted against he offenders, and an ample remuneration given to the nformants for their trouble, and a pledge not to dig 'vulge their names, * (Signelf THOMAS HOLLOWAY. London 24th Fept., 1864. Cures for Distant Friends! TTOLLOWAY'S OINTMENT. The curative properties of this wonderful Ointment are so universal that the Settler should know that, by using it, any wound, any ulcer, any sore, any eruption, aches or pains, can, by this mighty " Heal all," be quickly removed ; so that in the Australian Colonies (as elsewhere) it is frequently said that " Here is a cure for all!" Many thousands of martyrs from the above complaints have found life almost insupportable; yet, if Holloway's Ointment be briskly and perseverhigly rubbed upon the parts affected, ease may be safely guaranteed, especially if the pores of the skin be previously opened by fomentations with warm water. The %ross humours require expulsion from the system ; it is therefore necessary to have recourse to Holloway's admirable Pills, which, by purifying and strengthening the system, greatly assist the operation of the Ointment and facilitate and confirm the cure. Bad Legs, Bad Breasts, and Ulcera~ tions of all kinds. There is no medicinal preparation in the world which may be so thoroughly relied upon, in the treatment of the above ailments, as Holloway's OintrngnJ.
