The Queen was detained by the 1 Government from Wednesday at noon till Thursday at 7 a.m., partly that Mr. M'Lean might return to the Province by this opportunity. The Queen had a fine passage up, with pleasant weather, making the run in 23i hours. The Star of the South left Auckland on the 14th and j arrived in the Iron Pot on the 16th instant, at 4'Bo p.m. I Experienced fine weather throughout the passage. We are indebted to the courtesy of Captain Anderson for files of Auckland papers to the 14th inst. The Star of the South will leave for Wairoa and Aucklaud this morning, at half-past 10. The Rose Ann, for this port, sailed from Auokland on Saturday, the 11th instant, having been wind bound for several days. We learn that a third steamer will at once be put on this coast.
