Commercial Intelligence.
WmLEthe last week showed a little life with regard to business, this has been very dull; no doubt partly owing to the sheep-farmers being in the midst of shearing and partly to the non-arrival of any vessels, with the exception of 2 Maori schooners from Wairoa. By these a supply of fencing posts has arrived — an article which has not been in the market for several months. This lot is offered at 2s. per post. - Timber remains firm at 235. per 100~feet r and in full demand. The first 2 dray loads of wool from the inland districts, by way of Clive, arrived this week from the station of I Donald Gpllan, Esq., and we believe there will be a good quantity in next week. "We understand that the greater part of the wool of this season will be shipped by way of Wellington. A small portion may find its way to Auckland and Sydney, which will be rather a novelty for Napier.
