G-OVEBNOB Bbowne. — The presence of His.Excellency Col. Grore Browne in Hobart Town being no longer thought necessary, in consequence of the pacific arrangement of the American question, he left that city yesterday to rejoin Mrs. Browne at Quamby. The Vice-regal party will, therefore, resume their tour of the Northern districts j but it is understood that the intended visit to the north-west coast has been abandoned for the present, some difficulty being experienced in obtaining the use of the steamer. His Excellenoy and Mrs. Gore Browne will probably remain in the North about ten days or a fortnight. — Lannceston Examiner, March 15. The first shipment of Fiji cotton was sent home by Messrs.
