LANS SA.X.S ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20. Valuable Freeholds to the Industrious Classes. , RICHARDSON & CHARLTON Will sell on Tuesday nest, Dec. 20, at the Golden Fleece Hotel, — SECTION No. 57, Shakespeare Road, subdivided to meet the requirements of the age. To those who know that magnificent thoroughfare, the Shakespeare Road, it is unnecessary to say much in favour of the land now being brought into the market. The only means of communication between the TOWN and PORT of Napier,— the value of land having a frontage to this road is but a mere bagatelle to what it will be upon the commencement of harbour improvements, and upon the increased trade and traffic which must inevitably result from the giant strides now being made by Hawke's Bay in the march of improvement. The time will yet come when building sites on this great line will be unobtainable either for love or money, and it is only by going into the market at an early period that anything like a building allotment can be procured at anything under a fabulous figure. The Auctioneers have no desire to make any statements with reference to any property entrusted to them for sale that are not fully borne out by facts ; but a careful consideration of Napier — past, present, and future — compels them, in justice to intending settlers, to announce that the motto of the present day is NOW OR NEVER. Napier is very limited in extent ; it has long been all bought by private individuals ; and, although retired spots suitable for residences may yet be had in abundance from first hands, it is quite another affair with regard to stands for business. Such, however, are now offered by the Auctioneers — the property in question having six quarter acres on THE road, each with 66 feet frontage, capable of holding three or four shops or other buildings. For Plans and full particulars apply at the office of the Auctioneers. Also A valuable suburban Section of 60 acres, on the Meanee Sx>it, and numerous other properties. ABBOTTS FORD. POSTPONEMENT OF SALE. At the request of intending purchasers, in order that time may be afforded more fully to inspect the property, the sale of the above estate is postponed till a day in January to be named in next advertisement. RICHARDSON & CHARLTON Have been instructed by the propietor, F.S. Abbott Esq., to submit to public competition, on " a day in January to be named in a future advertisement, — mHE TOWNSHIP OF ABBOTSFORD, 1 Delightfully situated on the banks of the Waipawa river, and laid out in sections of from i to & an acre. To those who know the country, it would be superfluous to say one word in favor of this property. But to the. stranger it may not be amiss to note one or two of the advantages for which the land now placed in the market has long been noted. The finest river in the province passes through it. It is situated at the junction of- the Middle and Te Aute roads, and is in near proximity to the far-famed Rua Taniwha and Waipukurau Plains — the great producing districts of the province. Its position in all respects at once indicates it as THE spot for a township in the interior — the very centre: of traffic, yet possessing all the sweets of rural retirement. j It is not often that an opportunity such as this presents itself; i.ahd the.auctioneers do not think, •it necessary to remind those who have been any length of time in Napier, that EVERY; WEEK ajdds to the value of property^ and s that those; who want to secure a freehold in time must steikb ■WHEK THE IKON IS HO.T. ■ „ . v -; Plans may be seen, .and all further particulars obtained, it 'the office of the auctioneers, Eastern Spit..-.-.-. ;.. :. : ■•„ •'; ' .■■ ' :. ; ' /.. <. ;■. ; FESTIVAL OF St. JOHN.
