Proposed by John Chambers Esq., seconded by Mr. John McKinnon, 'that Trustees or Managers be appointed in conformity with Clause four of the Hawke's Bay Education Act, to carry out the views of the Subscribers.' WHEREAS some evil disposed person or persons did on the evening of Sunday, June 12, or early on Monday morning, June 13, 1859, wilfully break down portions of two four rail fences and did also remove the rails from four slip pannels, so leaving the said slip pannels open, and did further steal and drive away about Eighty (80) Rams, and about Oue Hundred and Seventy (170) Ewes with Lambs "at their side, from my paddocks at Mount Vernon, Waipukurau. — THIS IS TO GIVE NOTICE that the above reward will bo paid by me to any person or persons who will give such information as shall iead to the conviction of the said offender or offenders.
