April 7 — Emily Allison, schooner, 130 tons, James Ruxton, from Auckland, 3rd inst., with 7000 bricks, 19,000 feet timber, 28,000 shingles, 73 tons firewood, Commissariat. — Passengers, 6 rank and file 65th Regiment. — J. The Dolphin, although calling in on her way. his made a good passage, and has — unexpectedly we must say, for Auckland has not been able to boast much of her postal, arrangements — brought us the mail of January 16, containing the best news that has reached us for a length of time. The Emily Allison, Captain Buxton (formerly chief officer of the Esther) sailed two days after the Dolphin, and has made a five run of 3h days. In the Bay of Plenty, spoke the Gertrude, from Otago and Canterbury — the vessel chartered by the General Government. Capt. Buxton believes there were some Members on board, bnt obtained no particulars. The wind across the Bay was W.N.W. which was a head wind for the Eliezer, of which nothing was seen on the'passage.
