To the Electors of Wairarapa and Hawke's Bay, &ENTLEMEN, — Having been unable to make such arrangements as would admit of my going to Auckland to attend the next Session of the Assembly, it has become my duty to tender without delay the resignation of my seat as your Representative. I beg to return my sincere thanks for the warm support which I have received from many among you, and to assure you that Ishould not have retired from the duties ofthe office at the present juncture ofthe political affairs of the Colony, if I were not unavoidably compelled to do so.
