STREETS, SEWERAGE, AND DRAINAGE ACT. Province of Wellington. ELECTION NOTICE. WHEREAS BY PROCLAMAvv TION OE HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT dated the Ist., and published in the Government Gazette of the 4th of [February last, it is declared and directed that a BOARD OP COMMISSIONERS shall be established for the"management of the Streets, the Sewerage, and preservation of the health of the Inhabitants of the Town of Napier, and the Suburbs thereof, of which the boundaries are declared to be as follows, viz : — the whole oe Scinde Island in the District of Hawke's Bay. NOWTHEREEORE, I Henry Robert Russell, Sheriff of the District of Hawke's Bay, do hereby, in terms of the sth clause of the above named Act, convene a Public Meeting of the Electors within the boundaries aforesaid, to be held at THE ROYAL HOTEL, NAPIER, on Tuesday the 20th day of April next ensuing, AT 11 O'CLOCK OE THE forenoon, for the purpose of electing Commissioners to form such Board. The Act provides that "the Commissioners shall be elected by and from amongst the persons duly qualified to vote on the election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the electoral District or division of the Province in which the Town should be situated, and who shall be qualified and registered as such in respect of property owned or occupied within such town." To Road Contractors and 2_aborerst THE BOARD OP WARDENS L EOR THE DISTRICT OP WAIPUKURAU are prepared to let Contracts for making a DRAY ROAD through the GORGE leading from EPARAIMA to WAIPUKURAU, about 7 miles distant from the WAIPUKURAU PAH. The extent of the Cutting will be about half a mite.The plans and specifications will be ready for inspection on or after the Bth April next, and may be seen either at the residence of the Undersigned, or in the hands of Mr. Charles Nation, Surveyor, Waipukurau, who will superintend the execution of the Work. SEALED TENDERS must be lodged with the Undersigned, at at his residence, on or before the 25th of April next, at noon, when they will be opened in presence of such parties as are then in attendance, but the Board will not consider itself bound to accept any tender except the price asked be considered reasonable, and un-
