To the Editor of the Hawke's Bay Herald. Sir. — I take the earliest opportunity of correcting an error into which Mr. Grindell has fcillen, in his account of a journey from Taupo to Auckland. In referring to a newly discovered line of road between Petane and Mr. Gray's station, he says that it was discovered by A. McLean Esq. Kow I am the man who discovered the track in question, after eight days' hard travelling and burning, for which the neighbouring settlers have not forgiven me till this day. I am &c, John Munro.
