CURLING, Esq., R.M., Sir, — We the undersigned settlers of this District, repuest that you, as Resident Magistrate, will call a PUBLIC MEETING at the Royal Hotel, Napier, to consider the present DISTURBED STATE OF THE DISTRICT, &c. To be held some time during the current month, which, owing to the approaching shearing, will be more convenient to the settlers.
